Stain and varnish are a different trade from painting. The prep is fussier, the product is less forgiving, and one run in the finish shows forever.

We sand back to clean wood, work the stain evenly so the grain comes up right, and build the topcoats. On outdoor wood in Florida sun, we use marine grade and UV rated finishes, because standard interior varnish will not last a season out here.

• Trim, beams and ceilings
• Furniture, tables and built-ins
• Outdoor wood, docks and pergolas
• Refinishing on wood that has gone grey or started to peel

Anything that comes off and fits in the shop gets finished there, on a rack, under control. That is a better finish than anyone can get brushing on site.
